Started for a jam. missed the deadline. figured i'd upload what i got anyway. here's rules if you don't want to download:
Pilgri-mage
Countless ruins of the Tower of Nehmrud, Sorcerer Transcendent, lay scattered across the land. Every 10 years, a select few of His disciples are sent on a pilgrimage to these makeshift temples to conquer their Trials. You have been chosen.
What You’ll Need
- A few players
- A Game master (GM)
- Something to write down character info
- A few 6 sided dice (d6)
Character Creation
How do you prefer to solve your problems?
Method | Bonus |
---|---|
Avoidance | +1 to checks involving stealth, deceit, or other underhanded tactics |
Violence | +1 to checks to hurt people or destroy things |
Compromise | +1 to checks involving persuasion, cooperation, or other peaceful resolutions |
All pilgrims have proven themselves skilled magic users. Select 3 magical domains to be trained in, or 1 domain to be specialized in and 1 to be trained.
Available Domains
- Body
- Mind
- Fire
- Water
- Earth
- Air
Select an additional 3 non-magical skills that your character is good at. For example: Sword-fighting, Diplomacy, Acrobatics, etc…
All pilgrims have 10 Hit Points. If you run out of Hit Points, you’re dead.
Skill Checks
If you are attempting to something that has both a reasonable chance
to fail and consequences for failure, the GM should call for a skill
check. To make a skill check, roll 1d6
. Add an additional
die if you’re using your preferred problem-solving method, and one more
die if you have an applicable skill, for a maximum of 3d6
.
If any of the dice show a 4, 5 or 6, you are
successful.
Casting Spells
To cast a spell, roll 1d6
. If you are trained in that
spells domain add an additional die, or two if you are specialized. This
follows the same rules as skill checks, except if all rolled
dice match, you spell goes awry and complicates things.
